Stratford Methodist Church is a gathering place for all sorts of people involved in all sorts of activities. In addition to the groups run by members of the church, there are lots of community groups that meet here.
Our Worship is traditional with Holy Communion celebrated on the third Sunday of the month and the first Tuesday of the month at 10.00am.

Are you secure in your faith, looking to grow and discover more about our Lord Jesus Christ. You can find, grow and exercise your faith by joining us for any of these activities: Sunday worship, Midweek Communion, Prayer Group, Bible Study, ‘Questions, Beliefs and Doubts’ and confirmation classes.
Do you like making new friends, do enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with like-minded people. You will be more than welcomed at any of the following activities: Knit, Stitch and Natter, Card Craft Group, Cake and Company, Everywoman and Meeting Point for Men. The UA have a number of groups from Choir to Bridge Group’ to Keep Fit.
Are you an active person, if so please come along to any or all of the following: Badminton, Keep Fit and Yoga.
Wesley's Baby and Toddler Group meets every Wednesday and Friday between 9.30am and 11.30am during term time. In addition, we offer a pasta lunch on the third Wednesday of the month during term time.
JAM (Jesus and Me) runs on the first Sunday of each month. Children of all ages can come and enjoy bible stories in a craft setting and enjoy singing the Lords praises. Parents are welcome to accompany their children or enjoy worship.
Youphonix! is a music-based group for young people, from school year 6 upwards. We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, from 3-5pm. Our meeting are a blend of music, discussion and games, with a refreshment break in the middle.
Family Brunch meets every second Saturday in the month from 10.00am to noon and we invite families to join us. A hearty brunch awaits you. Cake & Company meets Fridays from 2.00pm to 4.00pm - Come and join us for tea/coffee, cake and a good chat. Friendship Lunches these are held monthly after Sunday morning Worship.

Our church registered for the Eco-congregation programme in 2003 and since then has been given 3 Eco-Congregation awards.
Through the redevelopment our promises have become energy-efficient and more sustainable.

For the last few years Contact the Elderly have provided a
decorated tree for the church Christmas Crib Festival in
The decorations for last year’s tree (2017) were created made by the participants at a “Pom Pom” Mania workshop held during at last year’s Holiday at Home programme in August “A World of Colour” held at The Methodist Church Centre utilising odds and ends of recycled wool.
Some 200 Pom Poms have been used, the tree was feature in the Christmas Festival at the church at the start of Advent and later that December to a Tree Festival at the United Reformed Church in the Centre of the Town.
